Lion Rock is iconic in the Piha area. Not only is the rock stunning to look at it is also surrounded by a beautiful beach. Piha beach is one of New Zealand’s most famous surf beaches. The black sand beach is hot underfoot so take good shoes otherwise you will find yourself hopping straight to the sea.
