Despite being a free museum in London it is actually a bit of a hidden gem. Although of course, it still has a number of tourists it is never as heart-breakingly busy as some of the other more well-known museums such as the National History Museum of British Museum.
With nine galleries you can travel through London’s history; beginning in prehistoric London you move swiftly through Roman London, to London in the 16th Century to present day.
What I love most about the Museum of London is their special exhibitions. With ticket prices usually around £15, the exhibitions are incredible. I have seen both the Sherlock Holmes exhibition and the Crime Museum Uncovered, both were well worth every penny and entertained me for a couple of hours.
I would highly recommend the Museum of London, especially if you have young children and want a rainy day activity.
